There may be times in our lives when it appears that all is lost and we sink into despair. But in our deepest sorrow, we are often surprised by the light of God’s never-failing love. Even in times of great fear, tragic loss, and intense suffering we can find comfort and confidence as we trust in God’s great faithfulness.Then, by His grace and mercy, we can echo the words of Jeremiah: “‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘therefore I hope in Him!’”

Well I was just thinking this morning, of the Lord’s mercy in my life. So many times I have deserved the consequences of my sin, and would have even accepted that, but in the Lord’s mercy he saved me from that which I deserved. I am so grateful for his mercy and kindness daily. And ever grateful for his gift of Grace through salvation.
