It hasn’t been an easy year for Indonesia. Covid-19 is still raging in our country. Many have lost their lives and many are still fighting for it. On top of that, we’ve had a string of tragedies this year: Sriwijaya’s air tragedy, floods, landslides, tornados, earthquakes, volcanic eruption, and a few ship accidents.

But as we take a moment today to commemorate our nation’s 76th Independence Day, let’s lift our eyes to  the one who sees and knows all that we’re going through. God feels our every pain and sorrow, and He is with us through the ups and downs.  We can bring every concern to Him and pray for His blessings on our nation, for  we know that God hears us and He is always  working in all things for the good of His people (Romans 8:28).
