Typography: Psalm 139:17

My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. Psalm 139:15-18

When was the last time reading our Bibles left us in awe of who God is?

We often turn to our Bibles seeking affirmation and encouragement, hoping to hear how precious we are to God, forgetting that the Bible is in fact a book about God. How often do we see His words as treasures that give us insight into the heart and mind of the Almighty God? How often do we feast on His Word, seeing it as our joy and heart’s delight (Jeremiah 15:16)?

PRAY:
Father, quieten my heart today that I may see You in Your Word. Just as You’ve intricately formed me and ordained each step that I take, may I also find joy and delight in searching Your mind and understanding Your heart through Your Word. May each Word that you speak be like precious manna to me–lifegiving words that will alight the flames of wonder in my heart.
