Typography: Proverbs 3:6

"Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; (Proverbs 3:3,5)"

“Make our paths straight, Lord,” we pray.
But. . . are we actually submitting to Him in all our ways?

And what does submission look like? Is it a hurried prayer asking God to make the best out of whatever we’ve put together, whatever decision we’ve made with our gut? Or is it a humble, truthful surrender to God–knowing who He is, understanding His heart and longing for the same things He longs for?

PRAY:
Lord, humble us to know that You have not come into our lives so we can have all our wishes granted and our paths “made straight” the way we want. Teach us that the straight path is to follow You and love You with all our hearts.

Our pastor always taught and remind us that we should not lean on our understanding because the knowledge that we’re proud of can be gone in just a second when we slip on a banana peel.
