Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as His children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? Hebrew 12:7

Being disciplined by God doesn’t sound very fun. Isn’t He meant to love us just the way we are? But God, our loving Father, desires for us to also grow in maturity and to reach our full potential, and this usually requires some training and discipline along the way.

Each test, trial, or hardship that we face could be God’s way of purifying us, so at the end of it, we’ll “come forth as gold” (Job 23:10). In the midst of it all, we can be assured of His loving hand guiding us through our challenges.

What test or trials are you going through right now? How is God using this experience to grow and mould you to be more Christ-like?
