It’s easy to recognise that we need food when we’re hungry. But when we’re spiritually starving, it’s not as clear to us what kind of nourishment our souls need.

It may be hard to grasp how Jesus, as the bread of life, fulfills our emotional and spiritual hunger. But the Father is gracious enough to grant us faith, so that even when we do not fully understand it, we can be moved, like Peter, to confess: who else can we go to, Jesus? Even when we don’t see yet how, we choose to believe that You are enough.

So feed us, Lord, that we may be satisfied.
